Are you ready to see things differently?
Come camp and play with us June 16th-18th at our Watershed retreat center, site of Asheville Integrative Psychiatry, in Candler, NC .The theme for our summer solstice festival this year is "altered states" and we will be offering a variety of ways to shift your perspective for the sake of healing and creating connection. Camping will be available Friday and Saturday night with a Friday dance party just for campers. On Saturday, we will be offering a variety of experiences including Sound Healing by Skinny Beats, Meditative Breath work with our Therapists, Virtual Reality from Better than Unicorns, Cacao Ceremony, Forest Bathing, and more. Body work and Energy work will be available for an additional charge. Participants will have time between experiences to relax outdoors, swim in the creek, and discuss ways to integrate these experiences with our staff. Saturday evening we will gather around a bonfire or shake it in the dance hall. We will have a food truck and ice cream sandwich booth Saturday afternoon and evening.
We will be finalizing the lineup and schedule over the next month and adding more information about our specific facilitators. please check back for additional details as time goes on. Our neighbors are kind to permit this event and we honor their land and privacy. Attendees will be provided the event address with their ticket purchase. We are approximately 25 minutes from Downtown Asheville on the way to Mt Pisgah.
We enjoy families and children. Saturdays daytime events are designed for adults or mature teens. The event ticket price ($150) covers Saturday's events for one person. The camping price ($25) is per vehicle. Only 60 event tickets will be available, but all campers may attend the Friday and Saturday evening festivities and dance party. Ticket sales will be offered first through our newsletter in April and available to the general public soon afterwards.
Camping is primitive. Water and Portajohns are available. Car camping, camper van, small RVs, and tent camping are all welcome. There are hammock spaces as well. Please do not bring generators or golf carts. The campground has a lovely swimming hole and is a short walk to the event site.
Watershed retreat center is a rural place with animals, bugs, uneven ground, trails, and stairs. If you are interested in attending but have concerns about accessibility, please contact us to see how we can best accommodate you.
