  • 20 US dollars

Service Description

Meeting at the Asheville Integrative Psychiatry's beautiful wooded retreat in Candler, each month we will discuss a range of topics surrounding psychedelic medicine -- from the latest updates in MDMA therapy and psychedelic legalization, to the crucial role of integration and nature connection in this work, the potential for other non-ordinary states of consciousness in therapy, and current options for psychedelic therapy in WNC. ------ On April 8th, one of our primary psychedelic-assisted therapy practitioners, Sandra Dowd, LCMHC, will be speaking and opening discussion for all your psychedelic therapy questions. Sandra will be talking about the concept of releasing mental, physical, and emotional “plaque” through non-ordinary states of consciousness and ways we can release trauma over the multiple-session protocol we use. She will discuss the relationship between direct confrontation of trauma activation during ketamine therapy and restoring our mental, physical, and energetic health. Sandra will spend some time presenting information from polyvagal theory, attachment theory, and holistic wellness models to share why confronting the layers of our stress with the support of a therapist and ketamine can be helpful for overcoming the way our past impacts our present and future wellness. Come learn, connect, and join the community discussion around this new-to-western-medicine treatment that is taking off in the world of health and wellness. --------------- It is our goal to create services that are accessible to all. If you are unable to attend due to the cost of these events, please contact us for help booking.
