About the event

Come enjoy some slow time in the forest and connect with the rhythm of the early spring. Immerse into the heart of nature during a guided forest bathing experience with Christa Hebal, certified forest therapy guide by ANFT. All are welcome to join us for a deeply connecting, rejuvenating, and invitational journey as we slow down and awaken our senses, restoring our relationships with ourselves, each-other, and the more-than-human-world. The peaceful forest of the Watershed of AIP offers gentle hospitality for us to be present with all that is. A little slow time in the forest goes a long way~*

What to Expect: Christa will guide you on a gentle, heart centered, sensory immersion into the awakening spring forest to connect more deeply with nature as enlivened part of our interconnected community. A series of invitations encourage us to awaken to the subtle wonders within and around us. Christa weaves together the practice of forest bathing, inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, mindfulness, breathwork, gentle movement, and nature therapy for a restorative afternoon, culminating with a wild-harvested tea ceremony and snacks.

Benefits: Forest therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to “forest bathing,” and was developed in the early 1980’s to promote physical and mental health. This is an evidence based practice that shows that spending time in nature effectively lowers stress, boosts immunity, improves mood and concentration, inspires connection and creativity, and supports our overall well-being.

We welcome you to take a much needed break from life’s often hectic pace and embrace the healing power of nature with us. All are welcome!

We aim to make events accessible for all. If the cost of this event is prohibitive, please contact us so that we may explore a special arrangement for you.
